The rigorous third-party audit validates Roundtrip as a trusted and secure technology and service provider for its users and their data assets.
PHILADELPHIA, PA, August 25, 2022 — Roundtrip, a leading healthcare transportation solution provider, announced it has officially achieved SOC2 Type II + HIPAA compliance in accordance with the standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), following a six-month in-depth observation period. This attestation makes IT Approval of Roundtrip a no-brainer, which accelerates Roundtrip’s ability to work with healthcare organizations nationwide, bringing Roundtrip one step closer to removing transportation as a barrier to wellbeing.
SOC2 defines criteria for managing customer data, and SOC2 Type II offers a comprehensive audit report that involves a thorough examination over a period of time. According to the independent evaluation of Roundtrip, the summary findings state the company’s “service commitments and system requirements were achieved based on the trust services criteria relevant to Security and Availability set forth in TSP 100, 2017 Trust Services Criteria for Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy.” The evaluation also examined Roundtrip’s controls related to the HIPAA Security, Privacy, and Breach Notification Rules and determined that Roundtrip complied with all of them.
Since its inception, Roundtrip has put the security of its platform and data as a top priority. While Roundtrip has always adhered to leading security standards, the certification provides Roundtrip’s current and prospective customers with an added level of confidence that Roundtrip walks the walk when it comes to keeping its customers’ data safe and services in operation. “SOC2 is a major, major signal of validation – we are innovating with credibility,” said Mark Switaj, Founder and CEO at Roundtrip, “It’s more than a stamp; it’s an accomplishment.”
