Who is Olivia Glyptis?

Headshot of Olivia Glyptis

Olivia Glyptis is the Marketing Associate at Roundtrip. Olivia supports all Roundtrip’s marketing efforts, with a particular focus on managing social media strategy and content. She graduated from CU Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Roundtrip is Olivia’s first role in the healthcare industry, but she had interned with Roundtrip for two years prior to being brought on fulltime. That time taught her just how meaningful Roundtrip’s work truly is, and she’s grateful to continue in a position that lets her carry that mission forward.

Every day, you interact with patient transportation in a way unique to your role. What perspective on patient transportation/NEMT do you wish more people knew?

When I used to think of healthcare, I used to just picture an unending list of medical dramas that rarely left the confines of the hospital. Working at Roundtrip has really opened my eyes to the complexities of the industry, and how every step of the patient’s journey is just as important as version shown on tv.

What mentor or prominent figure has influenced you in your career and why?

I have been very lucky in my life to be surrounded by so many strong female role models, especially in the professional sphere. But the two I want to recognize here are Ellen Williams and Carlin Engler. Ellen has been so pivotal in my professional development and she is an endless source of support for me in my career. The skills and knowledge I have acquired so far under her wing are unparalleled, I am very lucky to be able to call her my manager at Roundtrip. The second mentor I want to mention is Carlin Engler, she has been a mentor of mine for some time and I value her expertise and professional determination above all others. She has shown me what it means to be a strong woman in the workplace and for that I am very grateful. I am inspired by both these leaders to become the best version of myself as possible.

What do you enjoy about working at Roundtrip?

I like knowing that I am a part of something bigger than myself, and working at Roundtrip has added a another layer of fulfillment in my life. As of 2024, Roundtrip is helping people access care in all 50 states. There’s something really fulfilling about being able to say I am a part of something that is helping people nationwide.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I’m originally from New Jersey but I live out in Colorado now, so I’ve tried to pick up as many hobbies as possible to fit in with the locals. I love rock climbing (indoor and outdoor!), practicing yoga, and attending as many concerts as I can make it to. I also love to travel and I am usually in the middle of planning one trip or another!

If you could describe Roundtrip’s culture in one word, what would it be and why?

Supportive — I started working at Roundtrip as an intern and in those two years I got to see how everyone here was really one big family. Since being hired on, that hasn’t changed one bit, if anything, I’ve felt even more supported as I’ve taken on new responsibilities. Everyone is more than happy to lean in when questions or tricky problems arise.

If you could donate $1 million to any organization, what would it be and why?

Not specific to one organization, but if I had $1m to donate it would all go to breast cancer research. I have had many family members develop breast cancer and it has been a subject that is near to my heart since I was young. My grandmother was diagnosed following her work inspecting schools after 9/11; my aunt has just recently been declared breast cancer free after being diagnosed in 2025. If I could contribute any additional amount of funding to supporting breast cancer research so that no more people have to go through that experience, that’s where it would go.
